The Vision

To be a strong, loving, united, mature, prayerful, worshipping Church, grounded in God's word where the fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit are in evidence and to be a healing community. To reach out to the locality and the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit.

How do we achieve it?

Unity

Embracing together the vision.

Submission to each other, recognising God's appointed leaders and each others ministries.

Love

To heed God's command and to follow the Lord's instructions with regards to disputes or misunderstanding.

To avoid gossip, moaning and complaining, isolation and spiritual elitism.

Maturity

To grow in the knowledge and understanding of God's word and to obey it wholeheartedly.

To become True Biblical Disciples.

To be faithful - studying God's word alone and together as a Church.

Prayer

To pray privately and corporately for each other and for direction and protection of the Church and fulfilment of the vision.

Worship

To embrace Biblical teaching and understanding regarding "Praise and Worship" and not be restricted by personal preference.

To be free.

Healing

To use the gifts of the Holy Spirit, anointing with oil, laying on of hands, to express loving acceptance without condemnation.

To turn the other cheek and go the extra mile.

Reaching Out

To each be witnesses in our own areas of contact.

As a Church, to all participate in the Evangelism of the Church. In order to be strong, we need to disciple people and establish them in the local Church. To evangelise is a command. Not to be parochial and small minded but to heed God's word and the prophetic call to go to the ends of the earth.

What is required to fulfil the Vision?

  1. Wholehearted commitment to the Lordship of Christ.
  2. Wholehearted commitment to the New testament principle of the local Church.
  3. To be open with each other, honourable, loyal and faithful. To refuse an independent spirit and not to be proud and boastful.
  4. To be open to the Holy Spirit's ministry and to eagerly seek spiritual gifts.
  5. To pray without ceasing.
  6. To worship freely and enter into the worship.
  7. To give to the Lord's work cheerfully and in accordance with Biblical teaching.
  8. To establish a team of full-time workers, e.g. Teachers, Evangelists, Youth workers, etc.
  9. To expand the Resource Centre to meet the needs of the area.
  10. To further establish Overseas Missions and for us to be involved.
