Waleswide
A prayer for Wales

Waleswide logoLord God we thank you that you have given Jesus all authority in heaven and on earth. We acknowledge the great commission that he gave to go and make disciples of all nations. We pray that you will inspire and equip us to share the good news of our faith with people around us and in our Nation of Wales.

We thank you that you are Lord of the harvest and we pray that you will raise up many workers to bring people here in Wales into your kingdom, to teach them your ways and to disciple them in the faith.

We thank you that churches are being planted in Wales and that others are being strengthened for the task in front of them.

We pray for the leaders of such churches and their families. Keep them under your protection and provide for their needs. Grant them your vision for the work they do.

We pray for those who train, mentor and support Christian workers. Give them wisdom and help them to enable and encourage those they work with.

We also pray for DAWN, training Welsh language leaders. Please prosper this new work and use it to equip many young Welsh speaking people to be leaders in your church.

Lord, we bring to you our needy land and pray that you will strengthen your church to be a beacon of light that will turn the nation back to yourself.

We pray in Jesus’ name.

Amen.

Pray for Wales - May 2009

  1. Give thanks for the recent conference on Church Planting and Strengthening. Pray that the seeds sown there would bear fruit in churches and individuals.
  2. Pray for wisdom for the Waleswide working group as they assess the responses and plot a way forward for the coming months.
  3. Pray for new and recent church plants, that they will be strengthened and be fruitful.
  4. Pray that God would raise up church planters here in Wales, both in the Welsh and English speaking communities.
  5. Pray God's anointing, wisdom, strength and health for David Ollerton as he continues to lead Waleswide forward.
